The Full Release (Source¹ Source²), commonly called "The Revamp" by the community, is the complete overhaul of The Turbulent Seas. That means scripts, models, mapping, gameplay, and more are all new, making the Full Release practically a new game.
For the context of the game, the game was opened to the public on February 28th, 2021 for testing. The game, however, experienced a sudden spike in popularity, growing the concurrent player count to 2000 - regardless of the barren state of the game. The full release is the continuation of the game by providing a stable foundation for future updates.
Ships, the most anticipated feature in the revamp according to the community, will be fully remodeled to resemble their counterparts. Players can acquire ships through blueprints which are found throughout the campaign, across the map, or from NPCs. Blueprints allow the construction of new vessels. Ships will have varying complexity based on their size and will be more interactive than the current version; ropes, rigging, rudder control, and more will have an interactive function.
Ships will have customization options such as paints and accessories alongside the ability to place furniture onboard. Note that any furniture onboard your ship in the current version will be moved to the warehouse.
The largest of the ships coming to the Full Release, the 3rd Rate, will boast a mighty armament of 60 cannons. Not much is known about this vessel, however.
The ship popular amongst the community, the Frigate, will boast an armament of 34 cannons, 2 for both the bow and stern, making it a powerful vessel. It is about the length of the Galleon and will have moderate maneuverability.
In-progress Frigate
The Galleon will maintain its role as both a merchant and combat vessel. The Galleon will have an armament of 23 cannons, 2 for the bow and 1 for the stern.
The Galleon in all its might
The relative of the Galleon, the Fluyt will be the best merchant ship available. The Fluyt will have an armament of 6 cannons. Its cargo space will make up for its deficiency of guns.
The Brig will maintain its jack-of-all-trades role. It will have an armament of 10-18 cannons. Not much is known about this vessel, however.
The Schooner will remain a nimble ship. It will have an armament of 10-12 cannons. Not much is known about this vessel, however.
The Sloop will have an armament of 8 cannons. It is a big upgrade from the current version with its more detailed exterior and interior, realistic sails, and a physical anchor.
The Cutter is equivalent to the size of the Sloop. Not much is known about this vessel, however.
The Rowboat will be an auxiliary vessel that allows players to travel short distances without the need to swim. Rowboats can be deployed from ships and used to board. Variations of the Rowboat are planned, including default, armed, and a sailing rowboat.

One of the most significant and broad features coming to the Full Release are NPCs, providing players with a multitude of new gameplay. NPCs will be interactable - some being able to trade resources for Doubloons (Coins) or Crowns (Silver)
NPCs can be hired onto your ship and perform duties such as manning cannons, repairing the ship, adjusting sails, boarding, and more. It is currently unknown how or where NPCs can be employed; however, they will need amenities such as beds, rations, and ship conditions.
Crew morale is affected by ship condition, determined by the availability and quality of furniture. Crew morale is crucial during combat as it influences the NPC crew's walking speed, reloading speed, and compliance.
NPC crew will have levels of skill that affect the quality of their work, such as speed and accuracy. A well-trained player can outperform NPCs, especially when it comes to firing cannons and boarding/defending.

NPC ships will be spawned across the archipelago, aligning with merchants, pirates, or an entity’s navy. Depending on the player’s role, ships can be attacked or interact with the player.
Pirates players can steal goods from NPC merchant vessels or outright steal ships: scrapping them for wood or adding them to their fleet.
NPC ships can spawn in the vicinity of players, providing them both a reward and a challenge for engaging. NPC pirates in the area can increase cargo value at nearby ports.

In the Full Release, the combat system will be different but more complex and realistic.
Players will have access to new weapons such as muskets and rifles. The melee system will be redone to be more enhanced and realistic.
Cannons will have a more intricate loading system, increasing reload time. However, this is negated by the use of NPCs and increased cannon amounts on ships. There will be variants of guns including carronades and mortars.
To reload a cannon, it must be pulled back, cleaned using a sponge, loaded with both the cartridge and a round shot, chain shot, grapeshot, or "explosive" shot, a rammer to push the cartridge and ammunition inside the barrel, pushed back, aimed, and fired using a linstock.
New cannon model
Modules are essential functions of a ship and include cannons, helms, rigging, and masts. Destroying the helm, ropes, tiller, or rudder will severely limit a ship’s maneuverability, forcing the crew to manually turn the tiller or painstakingly use the sails to turn. The stability of the rigging affects the vulnerability of masts being destroyed and the ability to adjust and angle sails.
Modules onboard the Galleon
Hull integrity will be the primary function determining a ship’s status in combat. Hull integrity is not a health bar but the stability of the vessel. When the hull integrity is low, the ship’s structure is fractured and damaged, affecting the vessel’s ability to be watertight, which causes flooding. The hull integrity of a vessel is lowered by damage from shots and conditions at sea. Hull integrity can be repaired however it is a laborious task requiring the majority of the crew.
Statistics of the Galleon
Flooding and leaks will still be a prominent function in combat. Leaks occur when the hull integrity of a ship is compromised to the point it is not watertight or round shots penetrate near the waterline. A sufficient number of leaks will cause flooding, filling the ship with water. If the ship is not bailed out, it will lose its buoyancy and sink.
Fires will be a feature where a round causes an ammunition detonation, creating a fire onboard the ship. Fires will slowly eat away at the ship’s hull integrity and damage nearby modules unless they are extinguished using buckets and flood water. If the fire engulfs the ship, the hull integrity will wither to naught, causing the ship to sink. Ships can mitigate the spread of fire through fire-resistant stats.
The playstyle the player chooses will determine their campaign while playing. The three main playstyles to choose from are merchant, pirate, and naval. Players can rank up through their chosen playstyle and gain rewards, but there are downsides to switching.
Teams are the affiliations the players choose. These include Altmand, Meridian, Wovonsland, Central Trading Company, West Isles Trading Company, Volney, Doobin, Aerisland, Hordlo, and custom-player factions. Players can create their own custom factions, but they will be aligned with the aforementioned teams.
Merchants receive cargo contracts from the Central Trading Company. Merchants gain access to luxury furniture, exclusive missions that require the transport of high-valued goods, and missions that pay crowns. A merchant earns money by transporting cargo to other ports; a higher level increases profits. Merchants can play on the following teams: Altmand, Meridian, Central Trading Company, Volney, Doobin, Aerisland, and Hordlo.
The orlop deck where cargo is held. Note that barrels will be replaced by cargo (cask, livestock, furniture, goods, etc.)
Pirates can steal goods from NPC merchant vessels or outright steal ships, scrapping them for wood or adding them to their fleet. A pirate earns money through the stealing of cargo; a higher bounty increases profits. Pirates can only play on the pirate team.
A pirate's bounty is controlled through the wanted system, which labels players as pirates or criminals at certain ports. Pirates will be targeted by naval vessels and are unable to trade with ports where they are wanted unless the player is arrested or has paid fines.
Naval gets access to higher-quality weaponry and more disciplined NPCs. Naval earns money by protecting merchant vessels or returning stolen cargo. Naval can only play on the Central Trading Company team.
The game will feature a total of 3 currencies: Doubloons, Crowns, and Ducats. Doubloons (coins) are the main currency of the game and are accepted by most NPCs. Crowns (silver) are a tradable player currency and are accepted by some NPCs. Ducats are the premium currency where players can buy cosmetics. Ducats are earned through Robux or login rewards.
A warehouse will be a storage unit available to players used for holding items and can be rented with Doubloons. The warehouse can be accessed from any port. Note that items onboard your ship will be transferred to the warehouse during the full release.
The full release will feature new and improved graphics and world settings that immerse players in the game. The pictures speak for themselves.

The most widely shared misinformation about the full release is the performance of the game. Don’t worry though, the game is fully optimized and is surprisingly less laggy than the current version of the game. The full release will use a custom physics engine which will greatly increase performance and reduces bugs.
Physic calculations will be done through the CPU and will use multithreading, which will decrease lag and give a smoother performance.
For mobile users, this will come as a great benefit — the game will be compatible with new mobile buttons.
New GUI
Much of what has been shown is still under heavy development, but the progress of the Full Release is very promising. There has been no official release date. However, the developer speculated that it may be finished next year.
