The Turbulent Seas archipelago is home to people from all walks of life, from admirals to pirate scum, from young sailors to established trading companies. However, there is one thing all of them have in common. The sea. And of course, to travel the sea, they use vessels, capable of spanning several miles transporting anything from quality-of-life items such as iron, copper, and food, to transporting the most exquisite Jengas and Kraken trophies, as well as engaging in glorious naval combat. To be capable of doing all of these tasks efficiently, different ships with different names were created to fulfill different roles.

The Sloop is the first ship. Everyone who joins the game has it unlocked. It’s also the cheapest ship available at the Shipbuilding company. The Sloop is used by novice merchants. Its small size makes it excellent to learn the ropes of sailing. The Sloop is the smallest ship in-game, making it prone to sinking when faced with large waves. Rarely you can encounter pirate Sloops, and they usually act like Sloop merchants. They are easy prey for any merchant. Watching a pirate Sloop engaging a merchant Sloop is a one-of-a-kind experience everyone should have the chance to observe once during their playtime. Due to the Sloop's low cost, it is used as a spawn point by players. Having one Sloop at Volney, Aerisland, Doobin, and Hordlo offers the ability to jump between ports, allowing merchants to quickly move materials from one port to another.

The Schooner is a direct upgrade to the Sloop. Not only does it feature two more cannon slots and a higher cargo capacity, but the extra mast makes it much faster, not to mention the fact that its larger size eliminates the chance of getting swallowed by the sea. Schooner merchants are mostly harmless, having a better understanding of the game. Otherwise, they couldn’t have possibly saved enough money to buy the ship. On the other hand, pirate Schooners are a nightmare. A pirate Schooner with a competent crew can become a real headache to fight due to the ship’s high mobility, paired with its low profile. All merchants who run into such a foe, beware.

Speed: 2 (slower than the Schooner yet faster than the Sloop)
Cargo capacity: 30
The Brig is the first ship that requires a proper crew to efficiently helm, although one brave sailor can easily get the job done by himself. While one extra cannon on each side is nothing to write home about, the two chaser cannons allow the Brig to fill a special pursuit role. Thus, the Brig is a great ship to use when the enemy is attempting to escape. While they are not as dangerous as Schooner pirates, Brig pirates are still very dangerous. The worst thing a merchant fighting a pirate Brig can do is attempt to flee. The chaser cannons will quickly take care of the fleeing ship.

The Galleon is the biggest ship available to the average sailor. It’s can be both an excellent merchant vessel, as well as a feared warship. Galleon merchants mean business. The 50 cargo capacity allows for several barrels to be loaded onboard, allowing for very profitable merchant runs to be completed. The same can be said about Galleon pirates. A competent pirate crew on a Galleon can become the scourge of the server.

(Credit to @Tea needed here#8858 for offering information regarding the Frigate)
The Frigate is currently the ultimate merchant/war vessel. It features a non-playable-character (NPC) crew, which can be issued orders via chat commands. Some of these commands are: "Raise/Lower sails." automatically raising/lowering the sails, "Aim higher/lower/regular." is a command which applies to the cannons, making them aim higher/lower/regular, depending on the distance of the enemy. Otherwise, the cannons target foes automatically. With such great power also comes great responsibility. This ship is only available to RawEggTheGreatIX’s most trusted: Administrators.
